We are the Icebreakers Club at San Dieguito High School Academy, and we're partnering with Casas de Luz to build a home for a family in need just over the border in Tijuana, Mexico. We must raise $12,500 to make this project happen. We have weekly bake sales at school, sell items at bazaars, host restaurant nights, and participate in other fundraisers that help us chip away at our lofty goal. However, we've learned that we cannot do it without asking for help from our friends, family, and supporters. Each year, our community has supported us in making this impactful and meaningful experience possible for our students. It was a huge success again last year, and the experience of building the house was worth every ounce of energy, effort, and work for our Icebreaker students and for the grateful family who is now living under a roof with warmth and safety.
