Hi, my name is Kimberly Galan I’m a first-generation Hispanic college student, and my family and I are going through something heartbreaking. Our dog Bruno who is new to our family was hit by a car while I was walking him. He got scared, broke free from his leash, and before I could catch him, I saw him get hit right in front of me.

We rushed him to the emergency vet. The doctors told us his bladder ruptured, and urine is leaking into his belly. He’s in serious condition and needs emergency surgery to survive. Right now, he’s on IV fluids and meds, but time is running out.

Bruno hasn’t been with us long, but he’s already a huge part of our family. He came from a lab and didn’t even know how to be a dog. We were just starting to show him love and what it means to have a home. Now we’re just trying to save his life.
