Elvira Portillo es una joven salvadoreña residente en el Condado de Henderson y beneficiaria del programa de Distribución de Alimentos Abundancia que sufrió un trágico accidente en Agosto de 2023 cerca de Chapell Hill, Carolina del Norte.

El vehículo que conducía y en el que viajaba junto con su hija y una amiga fue golpeado fuertemente por un trailer que dejó a Elvira con enormes secuelas físicas y neurológicas que la mantienen inmóvil y en cama desde hace más de dos meses.

Actualmente está internada en el Hospital Kindred en Greensboro y su ayuda económica será clave para asumir algunos gastos para su cuidado y para hacer justicia por su accidente. Gracias por ayudar!
