Hi, my name is Maiyah, and I’ve been given the amazing opportunity to travel to South Africa for a 17-day service and leadership trip from March 4–21, 2026. This experience is designed to help students like me grow as leaders, build character, and understand how we can create positive change in the world.

During the trip, I’ll be partnering with local communities on hands-on projects that directly support the people who live there. I’ll learn about their culture, the challenges they face, and how meaningful connection and teamwork can make a real impact. We’ll be staying in safe, secure hotels and lodges and traveling with trained and experienced Simunye leaders.

This trip isn’t just about traveling, it's about serving others, building relationships, and stepping out of my comfort zone to help improve the lives of individuals and families. I know this experience will shape me into a stronger leader and help me see the world from a new perspective.
