Glen Hill's Miracle in Motion

On July 19, 2018, Glen was hit from behind at 70 mph as he was performing his duties at work. He walked away from the accident with a hidden phrenic nerve injury in his neck which led to paralysis of his diaphragm on the right side. He continued working with great difficulty on 50 % lung capacity on his right side as the worker's comp insurance company did not approve and get his medical appointments and oxygen set up for 3 months. As a result, he developed undetected pneumonia which caused total lung capacity loss on the right lung, was hypoxemic, developed extremely high C02 levels and went in to respiratory failure on October 19, 2018.                                                                       After spending 49 days in Houston Methodist acute care unit, he was discharged to Hermann Hospital TIRR for rehab as his body had deconditioned to the point of very little movement, severe protein malnutrition and multiple blood clots. We spent 3 months inpatient at Memorial Hermann TIRR. He has a trach and is on a ventilator and in a wheelchair. The individual who hit him died on the scene and had no insurance. Worker's comp has backed out on paying for anything and we are contesting it. Please pray we have favor in that situation. Our personal insurance is now being filed, but we have no clue as to what our portion of his hospital bills will end up being. We do know his bill at Methodist is over 2 million and TIRR is close to a million. He will continue to have procedures and doctor's appointments.  I am his full-time caretaker as he requires around the clock intensive care. He will not be able to return to work until he is recovered.                                                              We are so thankful for the preservation of his life and progress that YAHWEH/God has given him and we are looking forward to the miracle of his further recovery. His Phrenic Nerve has been healed and his diaphragm is regaining strength. We also appreciate those who have ministered to our family's needs in so many ways over the course of his hospitalization. We simply do not have the resources to cover his necessary equipment and care.  Any help will be a huge blessing. We are not used to asking for help and this whole experience is very overwhelming on so many levels.
