✨ 100K in May -Supporting Rugby, Community & Lifelong Care ✨

Hi we're Lee and Annette Hayward and throughout the whole of May, we're both taking on a challenge of running (or jogging!) 100 kilometers each in order to raise funds for two causes that mean the world to us both.

The Rugby League Benevolent Fund and Shaw Cross Sharks Rugby League Football Club.

All donations will be split 50/50 between these incredible organisations.

Why These Causes?

As a parent of three boys who proudly play for Shaw Cross Sharks, We've seen first-hand how powerful rugby can be.

Without sounding too corny It’s more than just a sport — it’s fitness, discipline, confidence, belonging, and a place where lifelong friendships are built. The club gives young people a safe, positive environment to grow, learn and thrive, and we want to help ensure that this continues for years to come.

The second half of this fundraiser supports The Rugby League Benevolent Fund, an organisation dedicated to providing lifelong care and support to players and their families following life-changing, serious or catastrophic injuries sustained while playing or training.

Their work is vital. They stand ready to help players like our own children should they ever need support due to injuries suffered while doing something they love.

Why 100K in May?

Because if these players can give everything on the field, we can certainly put one foot in front of the other for 100 kilometers. It’s a challenge that pushes us, raises awareness, and hopefully inspires people to get behind two causes that protect, support and empower our rugby community.
