My name is Heather Colletti-Houde, and I am a colleague and more importantly a friend to Meghan Scheck. She is a smart, funny, and loving "work wife" with whom I share lesson planning, commiseration over paper grading, and a love of naughty adolescent humor.

When Meg received the diagnosis of breast cancer in early January of 2016, all of her fans, and there are many, were devastated. Meg, true to form, has been an emotional stalwart.  I bear witness to the fact that she is fighter with lots of pluck. Day in and day out she arrives to work filled with enthusiasm and a desire to deliver a rich and rigorous education to her students, no matter how tired or ill she feels. She, then, goes home to her family, where she is an amazing wife and mother. 

The funds collected from this campaign will be used to defray the costs for Meg's medical expenses, as well to provide a financial cushion for the family while she is convalescing after her treatments and is unable to work.
