My name is Patrick and I am Brittney’s husband.
Many of you know Brittney as the vibrant, strong, joy-filled woman who has shared her metastatic breast cancer journey openly for the past 10 years. She was diagnosed at just 18 years old, and since then, she’s undergone nearly every type of conventional treatment. Many different types of chemotherapy, radiation for body and brain, and surgeries.
The past few months have been some of the hardest we’ve ever faced.
Brittney was recently hospitalized twice. The first time was due to brain swelling that caused vision issues and seizures. Shortly after, she was hospitalized again with a tumor in her left lung that was blocking her airway, along with an infection that made it extremely difficult to breathe. She’s now on oxygen full-time for the time being.
She also just completed 14 sessions of full spine radiation and 5 sessions of lung radiation which has left her body exhausted.
Watching her go through this has been devastating—but she continues to move forward with everything she has in her.
We know her body needs deeper support now as it’s very weak. That’s why she’s ready to add in integrative therapies to help restore her strength, ease symptoms, and support her immune system alongside her traditional care. These therapies aren’t replacements—they’re additions. Additions her body is desperately asking for.
Integrative oncologists/doctors and therapies are not covered by insurance and the costs are high. We’ve hesitated to ask for help, but the truth is—we can’t afford it on our own. And Brittney deserves a real chance at not just surviving, but healing.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward:
• Appointments with integrative doctors
- Travel costs to see the doctors
• Integrative therapy sessions, supplements, and healing protocols.
We’ve set the goal at $50,000 not because we expect to reach it overnight, but because this is a long-term, ongoing journey.
Integrative therapies aren’t a one-time thing—they’re part of how Brittney will care for her body and spirit alongside stage 4 cancer for the rest of her life
If you’re able to give, we are so grateful. If you’re not, sharing this or simply keeping Britt in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
Thank you for standing beside her—and us—on this journey.
Patrick
