SCSBC Row Durham to Amsterdam

St Cuthbert's Society Boat Club is a student run boat club part of Durham University. We are currently trying to raise funds to purchase a new boat. Our current fleet is slowly falling apart and extremely old, meaning the club is well over due a new top eight. 

We have a senior men and women squad who both train competitively, taking part in national competitions such as the Head of the River Race each year. If we were able to buy a new boat we would be able to compete at a higher level. As a student ran club we have very little funding and this means we are making attempts to raise some money ourselves.

This is why we are undertaking the massive challenge of rowing the total distance from our boat club in Durham, to the centre of Amsterdam (around 500k). This is a whole club effort, but each individual taking part will be rowing their contribution to the distance on an erg (rowing machine).

Any sponsorship given would be massively appreciated, as this won't be a small feat.
