Scrump needs an echocardiogram! Please help!

Meet our scruffy foster angel Scrump!

She lived her life in single room with 30+ other dogs in a hoarding situation in Mexico. In spite of spending her entire 5-8 years living in squalor, competing for food, and avoiding conflicts she is the sweetest little girl on the face of the Earth.

(I spotted her crazy hair from a video and wanted her pulled for me- see her?)

She and the other dogs were blessed to be rescued by Muttscouts and were taken to California to start their healing journey. Scrumpy girl made her way to us in NJ on 11/17 and we immediately fell in love.

At her vet visit this week we found out that the little 9lb girl has Giardia and Ehrlichiosis, which she is asymptomatic for but we’re still treating. The biggest news is that she has a grade 4 (out of 6) heart murmur.

Her murmur could be something that stays how it is and she will live a full life- or it could be something that shortens her lifespan and requires daily medication. In order to know which it is, she needs to have an echocardiogram.

We want to make sure this happens for Scrump and Muttscouts will also be doing a fundraiser in the near future for her and another little that was discovered to also have a murmur. These little angels have been through so much and deserve every ounce of love and kindness that they’ve missed- and more.
