Hi, my name is Beccy and I am fundraising on behalf of Alfie's Cat Rescue, based in Selby, UK.

In January 2025, we were alerted to a long term stray called Scruff in Camblesforth. He is loved by the community and we brought him into our care with the hope he would be able to be rehomed.

His fosterer soon realised his long fur was really matted and this was causing him pain. We want to make sure that whatever happens, Scruff is in the best condition for his future. This means we will be getting him neutered and we want to give him a good hair cut and shave whilst he's under sedation.

We have been quoted approximately £300 for all the work to be done at once at the local vets.

As a small and emerging rescue, this is a large expense for us to pay at once. Therefore we would appreciate any support from others who can help us get Scruff into tip top shape and looking extra fancy ahead of the summer.
