The Coronavirus pandemic has caught the world off guard, and our governments are unable to keep up with the demand. It is now down to us all here in the UK, to step up to the plate and find that old Dunkirk Spirit. We are a group of volunteers in Eastleigh, Hampshire, committed to making PPE (scrubs, hair bands, caps, scrubs bags, masks and gowns) for our frontline workers, especially our devoted NHS workers who are screaming out for them. We will aim to provide PPE for doctors and nurses, NHS ancillary staff, paramedics, firefighters and other frontline staff We urgently need funds for materials, many of our volunteers are very keen to help but cannot afford the materials. The average cost to make one set of scrubs is £15. We all work for free. We would also love to hear from you if you can help us in any practical ways in Eastleigh, Winchester or SOuthampton. We need volunteers for the following: * Someone who has a cutting table or space to cut the fabric * Someone with pattern skills to trace up the patterns into s/m/l/xl * Confident sewers who have a sewing machine/overlocker so that the garments can have be made to the professional standard our nhs deserve * Local people who can travel by foot/ bike/ car and dont mind offering to help with the logistics of delivering patterns/ fabric or posting finished item. * Someone able to manage the email orders and allocate stock to doctors once requested. * Someone with local experience to order fabric and elastic and supplies Any leftover funds will be donated to the NHS. THIS IS MASSIVELY URGENT PLEASE SUPPORT US!
