This is for the many people that have asked to support Rick and Barb during this crappy summer :)

As a little backstory...Rick was diagnosed with a very aggressive type of lymphoma in June that made his chest cavity its home and is being a real dick. He has been undergoing chemo/radiation in Boise, ID and has been living in a hotel since the travel to and from Baker City, OR is too far and too high risk for him. His treatment is going as well as can be expected and he has completed 3 chemo treatments to date...with a total of 7 (they think, cancer treatment is weird).

Barb was admitted to the hospital with COVID a few weeks ago and is fighting for her life. She is on high-flow oxygen and is working to get her lungs back to being lungs and not black pits of doom. She is anticipated to be there for some time and the recovery will be months.

So as you can imagine...the medical bills are piling up. And as many of you know my dad owns a small business and this treatment has drastically impacted his ability to run this the way he has for years. We're doing all we can to support them as are many family and friends that have dropped everything for both of them. We really do appreciate the outpouring of love and care to our family.

Please don't flood Barb with text messages or calls. It's very difficult for her to respond. Texts of encouragement and love are always appreciated. However, if you have any questions or want updates contact one of the kids...if you don't have their numbers then be resourceful and find it. lol
