Support the PolG Foundation – In Memory of Emilia

When the Scriba family's friends first started this fundraiser in December 2024, Emilia was in the hospital fighting for her life. Today, she is no longer with us, and a family that used to be five, is now a family of three.

Emilia and her sibblings have been affected by PolG, a rare genetic disease that robs the body’s cells of energy and slowly shuts down the organs. While most teenagers are busy with school, friends, and dreams for the future, Emilia was fighting for her life at the hospital.

There is no cure for PolG - yet. But promising research is underway, and with enough support, a breakthrough could be within reach.
