As university students, we’re all guilty of spending endless hours glued to a computer screen. With deadlines piling up and coursework intensifying, it’s far too easy for our mental well-being to slip to the bottom of our priority list. This year, we wanted to do something different—something good for ourselves and for others.
On Sunday 30th November, the team at Scratch Radio, Birmingham City University’s student-run radio station, will be stepping away from our desks, getting outside, and quite literally touching grass. We’re taking part in a group charity walk to raise money for Mind (Birmingham Association for Mental Health)- a charity doing incredible work supporting people struggling with their mental health.
We know firsthand how important mental health support is, especially for students balancing academic pressure, work, and everyday life. That’s why this cause is so important to us.
I’m raising money to benefit Birmingham Association for Mental Health, and any donation—big or small—will genuinely help make an impact. Thank you so much in advance for your kindness and support. It truly means the world.
