Hi my name is Barnaby and I am going to Nepal in October 2025 to complete an expedition with Scouts.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime and be immersed in the Nepalese culture.

During the 10 day trip I will travel to Pokhara where we will test our strength of body and character by trekking to the Mardi Himal Base which is 4500m.

After returning to Kathmandu we will do a flight over Everest which will be incredible along with the UNESCO Boudhanath Stupa, Monkey Temple and Shines.

We will also spend time with Nepalese Scouts playing games and learning about their cultures and organisations which I am really excited about.

Although this will be a great experience for myself it is also very important to me that I am raising money not only for my visit but for Classrooms in the Sky https://www.citcnepal.org/

This charity helps schools in Nepal to build high quality earthquake resistant classrooms, sponsoring teachers, supporting teacher training and encouraging employment of female teachers impacting the children of these remote areas of Nepal to have a good education.

To fundraise to go on this amazing trip and for the charity (a minimum of £100, hopefully more!!) I will be climbing the height of Everest between January 1st to September 30th so would appreciate any sponsorship you can for this challenge. This is 58,072 steps (or 4,148 flights of stairs!) and I will keep you informed every month or on milestones of how this is going!

I will be doing this on my home steps along with induvidial challenges.
