Scouts 25th World Jamboree in Korea

Hello, my name is Emma,  I am 14 and a member of Hurworth Scouts. I have been selected by Durham Scouts and have the opportunity of a lifetime - to attend the 25th World Jamboree in Korea 2023. A World Scouts Jamboree is the largest regular event organised by the scouts, where thousands of Scouts in a selected age group from all across the world meet in one area/country. These are ran nearly every four years, the exception being in World War Two. It is mainly an educational event to promote peace and understanding, and discuss world problems, some of the main this time will be Global Warming and Climate Change.

There is a lot of money I have to raise, and so I will try to sharing my progress to inspire and give ideas to others, as I have already achieved what I wasn't sure was possible. I will be doing things like try to provide services; raking leaves on lawns, mowing lawns, walking dogs and babysitting to raise money for this. The funds will be needed monthly as there are different amounts to meet but the total I need to raise is £4000 and they will all be used to pay for this amazing opportunity.
