Friends of Troop 45B are raising money for a new trailer
Donation protected
Hi. We are Scout Troop 45 from Dighton, MA, and we need a new gear trailer. We hope that you will find our request worthy, and that you will donate what you can to our effort to raise the $6,000 we need to purchase a new trailer. The one we’ve been using for the last 20 years has served us well but is nearing the end of its useful life. (We can now almost see Fred Flintstone’s feet sticking out the bottom running along the road!)
Why do we need a trailer?
The Boy Scout motto is, “Be Prepared,” and we are! When our Troop goes camping we bring everything we need to camp, cook, and do projects for ourselves and others. That includes tents, tarps, ropes, a dining shelter, axes, saws, shovels, trash cans, tables, propane tanks, stoves, lanterns, grills, and heavy cast iron Dutch Ovens. Each patrol also has a patrol box containing pots, pans, utensils, and assorted cooking gear. And all of that gets transported (and stored) in our troop trailer. Our logo emblazoned on our troop trailer also proudly displays that
WE ARE SCOUT TROOP 45, DIGHTON, MA.
We thank you for your donation to help us provide a fun way for our youth to learn the skills to make the world better.
