Hiking 3 of Britain’s highest mountains for Scouts

Hello, I have recently been selected to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Korea in 2023.  

This is an educational event which actively works to promote cultural exchanges, mutual understanding, peace, and international friendship.  The jamboree will enable scouts all over the world to develop skills which will in turn benefit their own communities.  These include learning about the fields of science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics (STEAM skills), learning how to prevent and respond to communicable diseases, natural disasters, and other emergencies and also finding ways to create a more sustainable, ecological future.  I believe that through this experience, I will learn valuable skills to last me a lifetime – skills which I hope I can use to make my community a better place in the future.

The cost of the trip is £3800 – all of which I will have to fundraise either myself or in my scouts group. 

I am going to embark on a sponsored hike to Whernside, Scarfell Pike and Kinder Scout (the highest peaks in Yorkshire, the Lakes and Peak District). We will be doing this in 36 hours and we’ll be camping on the nights. We hope to be doing this on the 2nd-3rd of June.
