Scout Hall Renovations

Let's finish strong with the Scout Hall Renovation Campaign!  

The campaign began in the spring of 2021 with the goal of building on the SHAPE Committee report of recommended repairs. The projected costs at that time were approximately $238,206. The project was broad in scope as we needed to ensure that the parapet and roof were brought up to safe conditions, stay committed to the historical façade, convert the property around the building to xeriscape, and improve the interior of the building to better serve as the home the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for the next 30 years.

Our original goal was to raise $250,000 to cover the SHAPE forecast and account for contingencies. (The 2018 SHAPE committee projection was $238,206). To date, we have raised $210,000. We are coming in on budget for the work completed so far, however we now need to raise the final $40,000 that will pay for completion of the project as well as cover several unanticipated expenses. Between delayed work costs, inflation, a couple of unanticipated items, and deciding to install additional windows and skylights on the upper floor and installing xeriscape landscaping, we need deliver on the final round target.

If we can raise the final $50,000 that will ensure we can complete the external and internal renovation of Scout Hall as well as its improving landscaping to be waterwise. We have just received a very generous $25,000 dollar for dollar match challenge contribution that will help us close our two-year campaign.
