Scotty’s Memorial Bench in Ragle Park

Donation protected
Lots have been asking to contribute to a future memorial celebration. We are in the process of working with the city of Sebastopol to dedicate a piece of memorial furniture (a bench or picnic table - still TBD) to celebrate the life of Scott Jason Grimsley. While there are many places this memorial could go, worldwide, we feel that Ragle Park has a place in all of our hearts. Bordering Wilson road, which to us, represents the peak of Scotties reign as the mayor of Sebastopol and the backdrop of so many memories,  we hope that this will be a place where anyone can go, anytime to feel closer to our friend. We also hope that this is a place that we can gather for future celebrations (post pandemics, when it is safe to do so, and when we can hug it out.) We hope to have this up by the spring but that will depend on the city, the pandemic, etc, BUT if we've learned anything from the last year, it's that the universe has a way of working these things out. We know Scottie is looking out for us and we know that when it does get up, it will be in a time that we can laugh and be together in a way that we can truly honor the memory and spirit of our friend. There is absolutely no pressure to donate but we think we can get to this goal easily even with very small amounts from the community and really, every little bit helps. We know we are in hard times but if you feel so inclined we'd love everyone who has wanted to be included feel part of this. Sending you all lots of love and light.
