Kim & Tommy adopted Scotty following a chance encounter at the local dog park. Scotty, bright-eyed and tail wagging out of control, ran directly to Kim and their dog Tiger, securing within seconds his new home with his forever family.

Scotty is in the hospital, with a life-threatening and undiagnosed condition. He demands extensive care, testing, and many many pets from doctors caring for him, as he wiggles excitedly through exams despite his illness, pain, and fear.

Scotty, at 16 weeks, was rescued from the streets of Louisianna by his foster family following a similar serendipitous encounter and nursed back to health from scabs, wounds, fleas, and more. For the first time, Scotty had the chance to live & be loved unconditionally. He learned the comforts and safety of a home, and immediately his humorous, carefree, joyous personality erupted to life. Scotty catches the love and attention of any human or dog he meets and is a pure optimist.

After a week hospitalized, continuous overnight care and preventative medication, Scotty's treatments are extremely expensive. Even with Scotty's diagnosis undetermined, the road to recovery will be long and difficult for him & his family. Kim and Tommy are doing everything they can to give him the love he deserves, protect him, and promise Scotty as many healthy and happy days as possible.
