Scotty Bear Strong
On the night of February 21st, a senseless act of violence left our son, brother, friend, partner, and colleague Scott Hays critically injured. Scott was taken to a hospital where he has undergone multiple extensive surgeries. His condition, originally critical, was upgraded on the evening of February 22nd to stable, but he still has multiple surgeries ahead, and a long, difficult road to recovery.
As his mother, I feel an obligation to do whatever I can to help him along this long, difficult, and expensive road. Anything you give will go directly and exclusively to the cost of recovering from these catastrophic and life altering injuries. As a Colorado native and fitness enthusiast, getting his body back to as close to fully functional as possible is critical in his overall long term wellbeing, as physical fitness is his passion.
Scott has devoted his career as a therapist serving at risk youth. He’s an amazing, compassionate person, a giver, a caretaker, and an all around great human being.
If anyone can make it through this type of tragedy, Scott is that man. He is physically fit, mentally tough, tremendously disciplined and an important contributor to his community and society as a whole. There’s not a lot of Scott Hays’ in the world, and if you can find it in your heart to help this one recover, his loved ones will be forever in your debt.
