Scott Strandberg's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On Tuesday 4/10/18 Scott fell off a ladder and took a severe hit to the base of his head. He needed surgery to remove blood and swelling on his brain. The part of his brain that was impacted (cerebellum) controls balance and coordination so he'll need therapy to learn to talk, walk and do basic things again.

Scott is in for a long recovery. He has been in the ICU for one week and will be there several more days. We've been told we can expect him to be in the hospital at least a couple of weeks after that, then possibly in a critical care facility for therapy after that.

Scott is not expected to be driving for at least a month after he leaves the hospital, which means he won't be working any time soon. As a self-employed contractor, spring and summer are his busy times for work and when he earns most of his income for the year.

We were relieved to discover he does have medical insurance, although there is a hefty deductible. This, coupled with his loss of income, will be a significant financial hit.

We are asking for help - any amount is very much appreciated and helpful - to help Scott pay for his medical expenses and living expenses while he is unable to work.
