Scott Sandsberry medical assistance
Donation protected
For more than four decades, Scott Sandsberry has been a fixture on the sidelines and in press boxes around Washington, California and Texas.
Always looking for the perfect angle to explore for each story he's written, there's nothing Sandsberry loves more than covering sports and outdoor news.

In early June though, Sandsberry was flown to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center after experiencing a stroke. Scott is beginning his recovery process, but it is still unknown how long that process will take or cost.
He has spent his life helping tell the stories of others, now we want to help him.
We are starting a fundraising effort to assist the Sandsberry family with medical costs and any other expenses that may occur in the coming weeks or months.
Our staff at the Yakima Herald-Republic, where Scott has worked for nearly 20 years, is not the same without him here and we know that the Yakima Valley is not the same without his work. Let's help a wonderful reporter and even better person as much as we can.
