Scott’s Recovery and Bills

Hi, I’m Vicki Hiersche and I’m raising funds for Scott Shepard and Andi Martinez. As you may have heard, Scott fell off a ladder and broke his hip on May 7th. He had surgery to fix his hip on May 9th. Unfortunately since surgery, Scott has had many serious setbacks including bowel perforation, sepsis, acute kidney injury, anemia, and an abscess in his abdomen. They also found an ascending aortic aneurysm and will require open heart surgery soon.

Scott will be out of work for a long time due to the multiple surgeries. To make matters worse, Andi has been out of work since November as her hip surgery has caused a MS relapse that has caused progression of her disease. Also, Andi’s neurologist has advised her to stop working as it could advance her MS considerably faster. She has applied for disability but this could take a long time before approval.

I’m sure bills are piling up now and Scott’s medical bills will be expensive. I know Andi or Scott would never ask for help but I know they could really use the help right now. Thank you!
