Hello, my name is Scott Memberg.

I’m reaching out because I need help during one of the hardest times of my life. I’m in the process of getting on the kidney transplant list. Most of the medical assessments are done, but the costs are becoming overwhelming.

On October 25th, 2025, I lost my job. Since then, my medical bills have been piling up, and I no longer have health insurance. COBRA would cost me over $800 a month, and the plan through Healthcare.gov is still over $600. I simply can’t afford either one.

My wife, Shari, is working hard to keep us afloat, but even with her income, we don’t qualify for any government help. We have a nice home, but if this continues past December, we may have to sell it just to stay above water. We’ve already gone through what little savings we had.

All I want is the chance to move forward with my kidney transplant and focus on healing without the fear of losing everything we’ve worked for. The money raised here will go toward medical expenses, medications, and basic living costs while I go through this process.

This is not easy for me to write. I’ve always been the kind of person who tries to handle everything myself, but right now I have to ask for help. Any donation, no matter how small, means the world to me and my family.
