I am doing a sponsored slim in Support of my Grandson Scott, who has Bilateral Wilms Tumour.
Scott has had a very tough 6 months, battling a life threatening cancer through chemotherapy, where the side effects have been substantial, so much so his consultant has stated Scott really seems to have been affected with every possible side effect. 

He has had major surgery, removing 7 tumours, his full left kidney and part of his right Kidney. Scott continues to be resilient and fight through his treatment  despite also having lifelong rare genetical disorders Hemihypertrophy and Beckwidth Weidmann Syndrome that present him with physical obstacles daily, aswell as physical pain and hes still being reviewed under genetics as they are unfortunately sure there's a further diagnosis to come. Not forgetting he also has Nephroblastomatosis, a condition producing pre cancerous 'rests' on the kidneys.

 He's had many aspects of his childhood taken away from him, things he loved like going to the farm, playing in a soft play area or just being able to play pain free. He developed a deep fear of the hospital and has been through so many distressing situations no child should have to face.
We are extremely hopeful he will win the first battle with Wilms tumour and enter a remission phase where he will remain a high risk relapse case becasue of his over growth syndromes that unfortunately make him more prone to developing tumours.

During Scott's chemotherapy cycles he's developed a love for Disney's Toy Story, watching one of the films every single night at home and every single time he's been in hospital, as well as collecting the toys and costumes. He loves to watch you tube videos of the characters at Disney Land and my aims and hopes are to try raise as much money as I can to send Scott to Disney Land Paris and let his wish come true and meet his favourite characters.
It would be a much needed break for Scott aswell as my granddaughter Alara, his sister who's life has also been heavily affected by Scott's devastating diagnosis. The cost of travel insurance for Scott will be high so we are trying to help him and my daughter and son in law as much as possible.

Unfortunately i cant run marathons so I Aim to lose 2 Stone, over a 3 month period. I'd like to make some sacrifices in order to welcome sponsors, of any amount, to make my grandsons wish come true.
