Scott Hufford Memorial Fund

4/10 UPDATE
Despite the greatest efforts from the medical staff at Stanford hospital, and prayers from loved ones, Scott ultimately passed last night 4/9 at 2241. Scott was surrounded by his loved ones and honored by dozen of supporters from the community, including hospital staff and those from Palo Alto Police department. Scott had spent his earthy life serving others and protecting his community by working for the Sacramento County Police Department. As Scott made his way to heaven, he was able to continue to save the lives of others by donating his organs to those on the organ transplant list, including a close friend of Jenna’s who has been waiting for a kidney transplant. Scott’s lifetime of love for those around him, infectious laughter, humor, and dedication to his community are all qualities of Scott he will be remembered by. Moving forward, we hope to continue to support the Hufford family by relieving the burden of costs for Scott’s celebration of life. Thank you all for supporting the Hufford’s during this very difficult time, and most importantly in loving Scott❤️

UPDATE FROM THE HUFFORD FAMILY❤️
4/9
We are still praying for a miracle and know that God works in amazing ways.
Jenna has a friend in Maui that has been waiting for a kidney for many years. Scott has met her and prayed with her. We just found out Scott’s kidney is a perfect match❤️. So grateful that if it’s Scott’s time to go he will be able to give life to others. He is our forever hero.

My name is Haley Lobaugh and I am a life long friend of Jenna Hufford, Scotts middle daughter. As many of you may know, on March 28, our beloved Scott Hufford suffered from a brain aneurysm and was life flighted from a hospital near his home in Monterey California to Stanford Medical center. As we are not yet sure what the future holds, we are hoping to support his children, Josh, Jenna and Jessie during this very difficult time. My goal is to relieve the financial burden of flights, hotels, and meals as they have and will continue to stay in Palo Alto with Scott for the foreseeable days as he remains in critical condition. We know this family has so much love and support within our community and my hope is to show that to them during these unimaginable times.
