Payne Family

My name is Jordan Poulton , a close personal friend of Scott Payne. He is married to Ashley Smith Payne and is the father of five beautiful children ages 1-13. Scott has struggled with ulcer disease for over 12 years which ultimately closed off the exit to his stomach. His doctor recommended bypass surgery to correct the problem. Unfortunately complications from this surgery caused his body to go septic. Two more major surgeries to repair and correct his condition were performed within a week. Scott stayed twenty days in the hospital fighting for his life and working to heal the leak which was causing the sepsis. He is home now with Home Health services administering IV antibiotics daily and wound VAC dressing changes to the incisions three times a week. Scott’s situation is now being controlled as he patiently waits for his body to heal.
Scott and Ashley have been diligent in paying their insurance premiums and saving for emergencies. However, due to complications and medical setbacks from the surgeries, the doctors predict Scott will not be able to work for the next 3 to 6 months to allow his body to fully heal. He is a self-employed custom cabinet and furniture builder. Ashley has also had totake time off from her business to care for Scott and the family during this difficult time.
