Scott's Dream to Pearl Harbor
Donation protected
Scott Oster has been battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for almost 9 years. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Over the past 9 years, ALS has been progressively taking away Scott's ability to do the everyday things most people take for granted, such as walking, talking, dressing and feeding themselves.
Scott's wife, Kim, is his main caregiver. With her support, Scott continues to strive for life, especially with his 5-year-old daughter, Faith, by his side.
ALS has robbed the Oster's of the life they first imagined. Everything they imagined they would have a lifetime to experience has needed to be crammed into a short amount of time. When doctors recently gave the Oster's notice that Scott's time is running short, Kim found the Dream Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to adults with life-threatening illnesses. Scott's dream is to visit Pearl Harbor. After receiving the heartbreaking news that the organization would not be able to fly Scott so far, Kim took on the challenge of granting Scott's final wish herself. Funding a trip to Hawaii for her family and an additional set of helping hands and muscle (Scott's daytime care-giver Collin) is a heavy financial burden.
Asking for help is not an easy thing to do, and Kim and her family appreciate your generosity. Please help us make Scott's dream to visit Pearl Harbor come true and send the Oster's on a family trip they won't forget.
