Scott Vs. Mt. Scott - Climbing For MS Research and Awareness
Donation protected
On October 5th, 2022, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and everything changed.
Since that day, I’ve been learning to live with a condition that can take so much from you — your energy, your mobility, your independence. But I’ve also learned something else:
I’m not done. And MS doesn’t get to decide what I can or can’t do.
So I set a goal:
Climb a mountain. Not just any mountain — Mount Scott.
And not by the road — off-trail, from the steep rockslide face.
Why? Because I wanted to do something hard — something that says to every single person with MS:
We may be fighting an invisible battle, but we are still strong, still capable, and still here.
On July 5th, I’ll attempt the climb — possibly becoming the first person with MS to summit Mount Scott off-trail. I’ve submitted the climb for a Guinness World Record, and the team at KSWO7's Good Morning Texoma will be there covering the climb.
But this isn’t about recognition.
It’s about raising awareness and supporting others living with MS.
How You Can Help:
I’ve launched this GoFundMe to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society — to fund research, fuel advocacy, and provide critical resources for people affected by this disease.
All net proceeds will go to NMSS.
If you’ve been affected by MS — directly or through someone you love — I hope you’ll support or share this effort.
Let’s turn this mountain into a movement.
Thanks for believing in this.
