Scott "Sunny" Summerfield

Hey everyone, Shennan Summerfield here starting this Gofundme in hopes that we can come together to help raise funds for a celebration of life for my father Scott.

Our beloved Scott "Sunny" recently passed on January 17, 2024. Scott was a wonderful father and friend who touched many lives of those around him.

Scott was an avid member of the community, whether it was visiting Eastern Market every Friday and supporting his favorite local businesses, to striking up conversation with anyone who would give him a minute of their time. Not only was he an amazing father to myself, but a few others who needed a father figure in their life at the time.

Scott "Sunny" dedicated his early life to working hours upon hours at Harley Davidson for a better part of 30 years. Once retired he was always there helping anyone who needed it, as far as helping with car problems, family problems, or simply being there to lend advice. He loved spending cool spring days at his favorite fishing hole and riding his beloved Indian Motorcycle. When he wasn't out fishing, he spent a lot of his time tinkering on odds and ends in his garage all while having his sidekick, Ollie, his jack Russell/Chihuahua right next to him.

My father was always one to admire the little things life had to offer, especially his love for animals, a pretty sky, or a good song on the radio.

We are all devastated by Scott’s loss and I am quickly learning that fulfilling his wish of having a celebration of life is more costly than expected. I want to give my father the celebration he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Sunny’s celebration. I would like to raise $3,500 by April 1st in order to be able to afford the celebration of life.

The funds will be used to cover the cost of the venue I have selected, the band being booked to play, and the cost of food for those attending, any funds left over will go towards the cost of his cremation.
