Scott Shively Care and Support

Scott Shively needs our help now.

Scott is a close family friend, my brother's good friend for 20+ years. He's been a fixture at all of our family holidays and celebrations. If you've been to one of our family events you met him, he was the quiet guy in the corner.

Last week he got a terrible diagnosis, germ cell cancer with 4 tumors that have metastasized in various areas of his body.  He was immediately hospitalized when the test results came in and started on chemotherapy. Just days prior to his diagnosis he was let go from his job losing his income and insurance.

This is where help from all his friends could make a huge difference in his recovery. The funds raised here while he's unable to work will help pay for:
• COBRA until he can get Medicaid
• Medical expenses not covered by COBRA or Medicaid
• monthly bills like his car payment and insurance

The length of his recovery is unknown. I will post updates when I know them. This money should keep him afloat for about six months. He's at the beginning of this journey and I will adjust the amount or duration when we have more details.
