IN REBECCA’S MEMORY - 2023 London Marathon
This year I’m running the London Marathon in remembrance of my sister Rebecca, who unexpectedly passed away aged 13.
15 years ago, my family became 1 of 12 families EVERY WEEK to lose a loved one due to Young Sudden Cardiac Death.
The shock and grief we experienced was horrific. But the charity CRY were amazing. They supported us in coming to terms with our loss and helped us take the steps for every child in our family to be tested for undiagnosed heart conditions.
I’m running the London marathon to raise awareness and money for Cardiac Risk in the Young, so that they can continue their amazing work - and you can help!
Screening has shown to lead to an 89% reduction in sudden cardiac deaths. With 80% of deaths occurring with NO symptoms, awareness for CRY is so important.
Please consider donating so that CRY can continue to support families like mine and prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research
