Scott may not have been born in Hadley, MA, but from the moment he arrived, he fit right in with the North Hadley way of life. Whether it was volunteering his short-order cooking skills for the CYO basketball fundraisers, enjoying a night at the Legion or the Young Men’s Club, or playing cards in the pitch league, Scott became a part of the community’s heart.

Scott had two children of his own, but when he met Kimmie, he embraced her children as if they were his, just as he welcomed everyone he ever met — with warmth, humor, and kindness. A talented house painter, he traveled all over New England, leaving behind not only beautifully painted homes, but lasting friendships in every neighborhood.

Scott loved life with a big heart and even bigger spirit. He adored Kimmie and her zest for adventure — whisking her away to beaches, casinos, concerts, and cruises whenever he could. He loved live music, was always ready to party, and could spark up a conversation with anyone. His favorite saying was, “It is what it is,” but Scott himself was so much more — a man who lived large, loved deeply, and gave generously.

His passing was sudden and heartbreaking. Now, we’re coming together to honor Scott’s incredible life with the beautiful Celebration of Life, at a later date. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward giving him the send-off worthy of his big-hearted spirit.
