SCOTT PIERCE MEDICAL AND FUNERAL EXPENSE FUND
When you’re grieving the loss of a loved one, you shouldn’t have to worry about how you’ll pay for a funeral and medical expenses not covered by insurance. To ease the financial stress during this difficult time and allow the Scott Pierce family to focus on saying “goodbye,” we have established a Go Fund Me /crowd funding in Scott Pierce’s name for just this reason.
After an unexpected two-week battle in the ICU, in a Seattle area hospital, Scott McNeel Pierce, a loving husband, father, son, and brother died July 19, 2020.
Scott and wife Sue recently celebrated their 24th-wedding anniversary and she was the love of his life. Scott also leaves behind his daughter, Jamie and step son Daniel.
Besides being a family man, Scotty was best known for driving unlimited hydroplanes from the 1980s through the1990s. He started his powerboat driving career in 1981 and was awarded rookie-of-the-year. He drove several of the world’s fastest powerboats boats including, Jif Presents Mr. Pringle’s and Bernie Little’s legendary Miss Budweiser. In 1991 he drove the Miss Budweiser to the National High Points Championship.
Scott also drove a sprint car over the years in the Pacific Northwest.
He retired from driving in 2001 & over the last decade campaigned a Grand Prix hydroplane. Scott was also very involved in keeping the sport of Hydroplane racing alive in the United States.
Over the years, Scotty Pierce had entertained fans throughout the country with his race driving. Now is a chance for fans, friends, and strangers to “give-back” to a man that could light up a room with his contagious smile, laughter and his life’s stories.
