My Dad was diagnosed with the Alpha 1 gene, which is a genetic disorder that attacked his liver.  This disorder caused his liver to stop functioning and caused him to become very sick. On March 10, 2018 he was fortunate enough to receive a liver, after 8 hours if surgery the transplant was complete.  One week later he had a blood clot which required a second surgery.  He will have to stay in the Oklahoma City area for three more weeks in order to be monitored.  My Mom has been by his side the whole time.  The extra lodging is an unexpected expense on top of the transplant and medical bills. Any extra help they could receive would be greatly appreciated!
