Scott Needs Your Help After Layoff

First of all, thank you for being here and thank you for your support!

My Name is Scott Bailey, and this is my Gofundme Campaign. I’m normally very responsible and independent. As I sit writing this I never in a million years thought I would be going through this. On Friday 11/8/2024 I was laid off from my job as a Tennis Director at the local club where I live. My job was eliminated due to no fault of my own. It happened due to a company decision to postpone the development of their courts, and this led to my layoff. My job was ideal for my experience and my path, but it was still eliminated, so I’ve been searching in other areas that I’ve got experience in like customer service (20 years of experience) and sales (15 years of experience). I was devastated when my budding tennis program was dismantled a month ago. Yet I still have responsibilities that need to be met, so I’m asking for help from you whether you’re a friend from high school, college, former student, or client. I appreciate anything you can do to help during this trying time, whether it's a donation, or a share of this campaign. I’m looking for a new position, and have been since the layoff. Unfortunately, I’ve had no luck yet. Though I’m continuing to search, any help will go to my expenses until I am able to land a new job.

I’m staying positive, but this really is a challenge with no income. To make sure that my expenses are met. My bills include:

1. Rent

2. Cell phone

3. Storage

4. Car Note

5. Car insurance

*I’ve already condensed from my own place to having a roommate to reduce the cost of my expenses.

Fast forward to now, after being denied unemployment, I’ve been searching for multiple jobs online, waiting until I hear from someone, doing odd jobs and day labor as it arises, and taking help from family and friends where I can find it. It’s not easy for me to share this and open this side of my life to the public eye, but I am aware that no fight is won in isolation. It’s the best way to proceed, and I’ve decided to reach out to my broader community for support. The purpose of this page is to build a support fund to cover the expenses mentioned above, as well as any others that may occur.

I believe that when one door closes another one opens. So, if God allowed this job to be taken from me, then He’s preparing me for another place somewhere that’s better suited for me.
