Scott Lintzenich’s Cancer Battle and Healthcare

Donation protected
Scott has been fighting Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer since 2015. He's had a "Nail" put in the entire length of his left femur (and he's 6'5" so you know it's more like a rod) and had full radiation on that. He's had his right breast removed along with lymph nodes. He's triple positive BC. He's been on at least 6 different chemotherapy/medication protocols. He has endured rib breaks because of lesions on the bone. He's had fluid on his lungs and heart which required surgery and ports (mostly resolved). And in May he had his 1st episode of Acute Metabolic Encephalopathy due to not eating and drinking properly because he was in so much pain from a new nodule sitting on his back nerve right out of the spine. Plus the cancer had spread more. He mostly recovered and they used radiation on that nodule which began to alleviate the pain in his back. And they started him on one more new med to try to fight this. However other pains and just not doing what he needed to do to take care of himself led us to this same AME issue only this time he is even weaker from losing too much muscle mass.
He has some memory issues as well so needs to have his medications monitored and needs to make sure he eats and drinks. Since last years issue with the fluid on the lungs and heart he has lost over 100 lbs and not in a good way. He also just medically retired so his salary is down to 60% right now because he is not over 65.
Some amazing caregivers have come to help while Suzanne (wife) and Zach (son) are at work. There are some hospital lead care that comes a few times a week but just for about an hour that is covered by insurance.
We need to get an estate planner to make sense of all the financial changes.
None of this comes cheap and the years of medical bills has depleted any major savings.
Thank you to all who have lifted him up in prayer and to those who have offered your help so far. I hope we have a long battle to go because there is no remission.

May the Force be with You.
