Our much loved father, brother, son Scott Libhart very unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5th 2020 in Florida. He was in a major motorcycle accident one week earlier and suffered 8 broken ribs, a broken shoulder, punctured lung and ruptured spleen. He was released from the hospital on Thursday, Dec. 3rd even with all of the injuries that he had incurred. The coroner has determined that he died due to Blunt Trauma to the Spleen.

Scott was a giant teddybear of a man. His size could be quite intimidating, but underneath that laid a giant heart who loved his girls and granddaughters with his entire being. His friends all loved this big guy who all knew he would give them the shirt off his back with no questions. He was always there to help out anybody in need and spent part of his younger years as a volunteer fireman. He was one of those people who kept in touch with everybody, be they friends from school, family and people he had become close to all of his life. Scott was 62 years old, full of life, was planning on moving to Nevada with his parents to help his sister Tena take care of them at her place. We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated that he was taken from us way too soon.

Scott was living in Florida to help take care of his elderly parents when this happened. It has now fallen on his two lovely daughters Monica and Megan to travel to Florida from Virginia and deal with the expenses and heartbreak of losing their father.

As you can imagine, with the turmoil from the current pandemic, his daughters are just trying to survive day to day. This is something they didn't think they would have to deal with for years to come. And due to the pandemic, Scotts many friends cannot gather together to say their goodbyes to their dear friend.

So in the place of flowers or anything that could be sent, we are asking those who would care to, to donate to this fund to help his daughters cover the cost of dealing with the travel and arrangements that will need to be made. Scott's daughter Megan will be taking the lead on all of the arrangements and the funds will be managed by her and her sister Monica.

Scott was an avid scuba diver, training for and achieving his Master Diver rating. His daughters are planning on a cremation and plan to spread his ashes over the Gulf of Mexico where Scott loved to go diving. They are planning on doing this sometime in 2021, hopefully when the pandemic dies down and his friends and family will be able to travel and gather.

Scott is survived by his daughters Monica and Megan, sisters Dawn and Tena, his parents Connie and Bob, his brother-in-law Aron and his granddaughters Aubrey and Zoey who he loved with all his heart.
