Scott Lancaster Memorial

Donation protected
Since so many people have been asking about a donation option for my dad, we have decided to set up this gofundme.

My name Is Lauren Lancaster and I am the daughter of Scott Lancaster. As many of you know we unexpectedly lost him July 1st 2022 at 2:45 pm. He tested positive for COVID-19 on February 9th and ended up in the hospital. While he was there they found a cancerous tumor in his esophagus. They informed us that it was treatable since it hadn’t spread. However, his treatment plan was delayed due to more hospital visits from aspiration pneumonia. He was released from the hospital and after the completion of 6 weeks of chemo and radiation treatments, the follow up PET scan in the beginning of June showed that the cancerous cells had spread to other organs. At this point the prognosis wasn’t great, but they offered to try more chemo treatments to shrink or stop the growth as long as his body could tolerate it. He had another 6 weeks of chemo treatments scheduled. On June 15th, he went to his first round of chemo for this treatment plan. Unfortunately, his body started to become weaker and he wasn’t able to tolerate any more treatments. He was no longer able to eat or drink. He couldn’t handle the illness mentally or physically. We started to invite people to come visit while he was still alert and aware. Sadly, it became too much for visitors. He signed on to hospice the end of June and he passed peacefully with family surrounding him on July 1st.

Scott had many friends and family that loved him very much. He was outgoing and personable and loved to be the life of the party. He affected so many peoples lives. People say that he was a great boss and an even better man. He made an impression on everyone he met. Anyone that knew him would know that they are blessed to have know him and call him their friend. My brother and myself were lucky to call him dad and my mom was blessed to have such a loving husband. He was a one of a kind guy and will be truly missed. May he live forever in our hearts.

Any support is greatly appreciated. Thank you
