Scott Jones's ALS Medical & Bucket List Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott, and I have been diagnosed with ALS. The doctors cannot predict how much longer I will live but it can be anywhere from 3 - 6 months or 5-6 years.
I started with some right arm weakness and an inability to walk long distances. However, I have progressed quite a bit since my diagnosis on August 1, 2023. I have no right arm movement, can only use about 20% of my left arm, my breathing has gotten harder (I use a non-invasive venilator to assist), my voice is starting to weaken, and I am no longer able to stand on my own.
My needs have changed since my diagnosis. With the funds we have already raised (thank you everyone for your generosity) I have been able to purchase a wheelchair van and new front steps to accommodate the elevator lift that was donated to me. I had originally hoped to raise enough money to scratch a few items off my bucket list. Unfortunately, my progression has developed quickly, and traveling at this phase will be a struggle. I am asking for donations to help with my continuous medical bills and additional equipment that is or may be needed soon.
Medical Needs:
- Medical bills and copays
- Caretaking Assistance
As of now, the one thing on my bucket list I would like to do is to take a vacation with my 5 children, my daughter-in-laws, and my grandson. It would need to be a vacation that we can drive to and I would need funds for a wheelchair accessible hotel or home.
Please help me achieve these goals before my bucket is turned over.
