Scott Giesen's Journey To Recovery

Donation protected
Scott is a son, brother, husband, and an outstanding father to three beautiful children.

Scott woke up one morning to a very painful and swollen foot. He wound up in the emergency room where they had to amputate his toes due to a terrible flesh eating bacteria infection that had taken over his foot. Complicated by diabetes, the infection had spread upward. He and his doctors decided to amputate further up his right leg below the knee to stop the progression of the infection just days after the first amputation. After 13 days in hospital and 4 surgeries, he is finally at home recovering. Scott will be fit for a prosthetic limb and start several months of physical therapy to learn to balance and walk again.

Scott is a small business owner and now finds himself & his family underinsured due to the astronomical price of independent healthcare insurance. He doesn’t qualify for Government assistance either.

Medical bills are piling up quickly everyday as the mail arrives. The cost of all of this is overwhelming. The cost of a prosthetic leg alone is $25,000. Please consider donating to this GFM account to help Scott and his family pay for:

*Surgeries
*Hospital Bills
*Doctor Visits
*Prosthetics
*Wheel Chairs
*Physical Therapy & Recovery
*Home Renovations
*Prescriptions

Thank you so much for your support for Scott, his family and his journey to recover!
