Scott Carrlee cancer fund
Donation protected
Scott Carrlee has been diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer. It has spread to the lining of his abdomen, there is no surgical solution, and the chemo drugs for this kind of cancer are not very advanced. There is no medical cure for this disease, and we do not know how long we will have Scott with us. Right now, he has no symptoms. We only know about it because he turned yellow with jaundice when the tumor pinched a duct. That got fixed, and now we are just waiting for symptoms to appear. So many of our friends and family have asked "What can we do?!" and we have no good answers. Many have asked to donate to a site like this, to contribute to things like family vacations, maybe a house cleaner... things to give us more time together. We could put it toward medical travel, or hospice when the time comes. If we can't use it to make the rest of Scott's life go better, we'd put it toward Carson's college. Scott and I have both told people the money thing makes us uncomfortable, but we understand people feel an intense need to do something in the face of this really bad news. Did you know the site won't let you continue without entering a dollar amount goal? Our goal is to keep Scott, of course, so I just put in a random amount. We are so grateful to everyone who has reached out to us and all those who love and admire Scott. Whatever way you choose to connect to him is wonderful and beautiful and we love you.
