Hi everyone!

We are the Heinig/Beattie/Salazar families and we want to abundantly bless Scott and Christine Beattie and their kids in their time of need. In May 2023, Christine was diagnosed with Stage 2C Breast Cancer; in August, Scott was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Colon Cancer. Scott is a small business owner and the family’s only source of income (Christine home educates their two youngest kids). Being self-employed, the healthcare plan they have is a cost-sharing program that creates a 4 to 6-month lag in reimbursement of medical expenses. While they are thankful for this, the hospital requires an immediate payment plan which increases as their individual balances grow. Scott is coming off of an eleven-day hospital stay with surgery and will be unable to work for quite some time. Both Scott and Christine are facing further treatments, surgeries, and hospitalizations as they battle these cancers. There are significant travel expenses due to living three hours away from their treatment center as well as continued regular monthly living expenses.

Scott and Christine spend their lives pouring their time, laughter, hospitality, encouragement, finances, and love into everyone they meet. You never leave their presence without feeling loved, listened to, prayed over, and ready to face the world with new courage. If you know them, you are better for it, and we would like to give back to them during this particularly challenging time.
