Hello All ,
We come to you all today to share the news on behalf of the Brown family . We are long time Best friend of Kirsten Brown and We felt compelled to help Andie and Scott by sharing their story.
Scott was recently complaining of abdominal pain for a few days that led him going to the Emergency room. Once in the ER and all test were done the doctors knew something wasn’t right . After CTs and MRIS it was confirmed Scott had a large Mass on his Kidney and a smaller mass near the top of his pancreas. They had ideas what the masses could be but needed to biopsy both of them to be sure. It was a dangerous procedure and we knew based off assumption he needed to transfer to a different Hospital.
Scott and Andie went home for the weekend gathered all there contacts and got in touch with UCSD Medical Center. After a lot of coordination Scott was re admitted not once but twice to UCSD for pain control. He had two big procedures done in one day, all by himself due to Covid restrictions. It has been confirmed that Scott has not one but two types of cancer. It is with immense sadness that we share the mass on his kidney is confirmed stage 2/3 aggressive Renal Cell Carcinoma and the smaller mass on top of his Pancreas is confirmed to be stage 2/3 Pancreatic cancer.
Scott is an incredible Dad, husband, friend and grandfather. He has always been a go getter and supported his household. He loves his wife Andie , his two daughters Kirsten and McKenzie and of course all off his grandchildren !
Scott has a long road ahead with surgery to remove both masses, kidney removal and chemo, the providers have suggested he takes at least 6 months to a year off. As any man would, he is determined to go back to work and just get back to "normal" but he really needs to take this time and fight this battle. As longtime family friends and witness to the great man and family the Browns are, We ask for your support in supporting them.
No monetary amount is too small or a prayer to big. The support of community, family and friends truly gets you through some of the darkest of days. They have great faith in the Lord whom we know will carry them through this time. Will you help us lift them in prayer and financial contributions to ease the medical bills and time off work?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. “ ~Proverbs 3:5-6
Should it be placed on your heart, please share.
Scott and Andie, We love you .
Thank you forever
