Scotland U18’s Lion Cup Finland

Hey as most of you know my name is Lennon Stephen.

I currently play for the Aberdeen Lynx Juniors as a forward I have also had the privilege of being asked to play up to the Aberdeen Lynx SNL a few times this past season which was a great experience and honour.

I have been obsessed with ice hockey since I was about 7 years old. I have spent the last 9/10 years practically living at the ice arena be it at training nights, public sessions or SNL games.

I have just had the best season of hockey where I finished the season with joint top points in our U19s team.

As I mentioned I also got called up and played some minutes for the Aberdeen Lynx SNL team an absolute dream coming true for me.

In December I played for Scotland down in Sheffield this was against a mix of England teams. This was a great experience and a first for me, where I helped contributed to the team. We finish top of the groups which was another bucket list moment ticked off for me.

I have now been selected as part of the travelling team to play for Scotland. We go to Helsinki in Finland this August 25.

As ice hockey in Britain is a niche sport there isn't the greatest of funding available. So I have relied on the support of my Mum and Dad to fund myself and my younger brother Shay hockey dream (Shay was able to also attended Finland Lions Cup in April with the help and support of you guys, this means the world to my family).

Scottish Ice Hockey have an incentive this year if I raise £250 they will match it.
