Hi, my name is Esme and I play Rugby League. Girls rugby league is a sport that is relatively new and doesn’t have the funding that the men’s game has. I have been lucky enough to be selected for the under 14 girls Scotland squad to play games and also attend training sessions (with the hope of being in the 2030 Womens World Cup), these are across the Uk. Myself and my team mates are hoping to raise the profile of girls playing rugby league. Rugby League for most females is still an amateur sport we have to pay for all or kit, transport and accommodation. The funds we raise will help with this and also help me to become the best player I can.
