Team Scotland Quadball are looking for funding and support for lower income players to attend the Quadball World Cup taking place in Brussels, Belgium this July.
This international tournament is a fantastic opportunity for our team to showcase their talent, dedication, and Scottish pride on the world stage. Representing one's country is an honour, however many of our dedicated athletes are either students or low-income and need financial assistance to make this dream a reality.
We are reaching out to our community to ensure that every talented player has the chance to represent Scotland. Any financial support, no matter how small, will be sincerely appreciated.

> What is Quadball?
Quadball is an exciting, fast-paced, full-contact sport. A quadball team consists of up to 21 athletes with seven players per team on the field at any one time. Each player must keep a stick between their legs at all times. The gender maximum rule limits the number of players who identify as the same gender a team can have in play at the same time, ensuring the sport is inclusive to all genders and that gender diversity is always maintained on the field of play.
Quadball has existed since 2005 across 40 different countries, including Scotland. It embraces players of all genders and sexualities. All Quadball Athletes play as their stated gender and have the right to define how they identify. It is this stated gender that is recognized on pitch. Quadball is important because many players have, for the first time, found a team sport that recognizes them as they are.

> Why are we asking for this amount?
Without fundraising support, each player will have to pay a player fee of £95 to participate in this tournament, plus the additional cost of transport, accommodation, kit, and insurance. All funds raised will contribute to reducing these costs, with priority to low-income players.
